Have you ever had one of those light-bulb moments when you solved world peace – while taking a shower?
Okay, maybe you didn’t solve world peace, but you had a spark of an idea that solved a problem with which you had been wrestling. When you have those moments, do you also wish that someone heard you?
Now someone will.
Enter the Minnesota Idea Open. The first-ever Minnesota Idea Open Challenge is on!
The Challenge: finding the best possible ideas to address the issue of obesity in Minnesota.
Minnesota Council of Churches is proud to partner with the Idea Open in an effort to bring together all Minnesotans for one purpose: to solve critical issues facing our state.
To kick things off, we are working with the Idea Open to host the first statewide Idea Open Challenge this spring. We invite you to bring your best thinking to help us address the issue of obesity in Minnesota. Tell us how your community could use $15,000 to help people eat smart and be active.
On March 18, visit www.MNIdeaOpen.org to sign up and join a new community of citizen thought leaders. Deadline for submissions is April 9.
You could receive $500, and see your idea become a reality.
Plan now to have your faith community discuss the Idea Open finalists April 10 – May 3. Contact the Idea Open to learn about available speakers at www.mnideaopen.org.
Minnesota Idea Open is a collaborative initiative led by Minnesota Community Foundation and its partners, Ashoka Changemakers, the Citizens League, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and Minnesota Public Radio.
