We are all invited to pray with our hearts and hands as Northwestern Minnesota and the Dakotas face continued threat of flooding.
CWS Emergency Response Specialist Bryan Crousore is monitoring the situation and remains in contact with federal, state and local officials, and voluntary agencies. Read the daily situation report at http://tiny.cc/Rc57m.
In addition, CWS anticipates providing material resources (flood buckets, hygiene kits, health kits, blankets, etc.) to help meet emergency needs in this flood event. Churches with potential storage space within the region can contact Deb Braun at dbraun@churchworldservice.org or 1-888-297-2767.
Lutheran Disaster Response organizes volunteers for immediate and long-term response to flooded areas. Find out about volunteer opportunities at www.lssmn.org/disaster. Lutheran Disaster Response prepared this bulletin insert for congregations.
