Specialized Training in Refugee Mental Health
Refugee Services, Minnesota Council of Churches, a refugee resettlement agency, is developing a referral pool of mental health professionals who are willing to accept referrals of refugees needing mental health services.
Given the language and cultural differences, working with refugees needing mental health services is particularly challenging. To provide support to those willing to accept referrals; MCC Refugee Services is offering a series of continuing education workshops. These workshops are open to all mental health professionals, however, those interested in being a part of our referral pool will receive first priority registration and access to substantial scholarship assistance.
