NEW ADVOCACY OPPORTUNITY FOR MINIMIZING TOXIC CHEMICALS! (April 16, 2009)
Help Protect Children's Health
The Minnesota House and Senate will soon be voting on a bill phasing out toxic Bisphenol A (BPA) from children’s products. Children’s products like polycarbonate baby bottles and sippy cups contain BPA, which is also showing up in Minnesota’s groundwater. Children are particularly vulnerable to damage from these chemical exposures because they are still developing. Safer alternatives to BPA currently exist. To remove this toxin from children’s products contact your lawmaker today and ask him/her to support the BPA Free Baby Product Bill.

Body of e-mail to targets:
Please support the Healthy Legacy bill phasing out toxic BPA from baby bottles and sippy cups. Bisphenol A, or BPA, is a hormone disrupting chemical found in polycarbonate baby bottles and sippy cups. Many scientific studies have linked this chemical to early onset puberty, childhood obesity, and diabetes.
Since there are safer alternatives, Minnesota should phase out this chemical in children’s products. Please vote YES for the BPA Free Baby Products Bill. Thanks for your consideration.
