Spending time in spaces that are bright and warm, fragrant and with beautiful colors can be soothing and uplifting to the mood. In addition, when people are struggling with feeling depressed or sad or fatigued, it is healing for them to become more active. Going to healing places can help activate people. It can also distract people for a brief break from their worrying thoughts.

A good healing intervention is to take a person with mood difficulties to a healing place or suggest that they go there themselves. Below is a list of some of the places that can be healing:
