Welcoming Refugees
It takes a community to resettle each new refugee that arrives in Minnesota. Refugees have already endured the trauma of war, the difficulty of flight, and the uncertainty of waiting in a refugee camp. We want to make sure that their experience of resettling in MN is full of welcome and hope. MCC Refugee Services has expertise in providing high quality services and navigating complex systems, but we depend on volunteers, churches, and community members to really make MN feel like home to our newest neighbors. You can help! Check out the links to the right and above to learn how.
Calling All Warm Blankets!
MCC Refugee Services is welcoming large numbers of new families this fall and winter and most of them are coming from much warmer climates than ours! We are experiencing a critical shortage of warm blankets. Please, take a look through your closet and tell your friends. They can be delivered to the MN Church Center during business hours (address below).
Help us give our new refugee neighbors a WARM Minnesota welcome! We are also in need of numerous other household items for new arrivals–click here to see the full list of critically needed items.
