I am not an end-of-life professional, but I have had personal experiences with end-of-life decisions. Would I be considered a candidate for this project?

Yes, if you also have leadership skills and experience in group facilitation.

What happens I am unable to attend the training?

Training and building relationship is vital to this project. If you are unable to attend, you will not be properly prepared to host conversations in the community.

How soon after training am I expected to begin?

You are expected to begin as soon as possible. We receive requests on a regular basis, and you will be assigned depending on your availability. Keep in mind, Minnesota’s weather is very unpredictable.

How will I be paid?

You will receive a stipend following receipt of your invoice and evaluations from a hosted conversation.

How much will I be paid?

$100 for two 90-minute or four 45-minute presentations. Mileage is reimbursed for significant travel (over 75 miles). All expenses are paid for the day training in August and any follow-up training if you live outside the Twin Cities.

Are there any other responsibilities?

You will be asked to assist the Program Manager in identifying professionals in your community who work with people making end-of-life decisions. For a full description of the position, see the Application page.

Do I work with the other Faith Ambassadors in my area?

Although you will be working independently, it is beneficial to build relationships with other Faith Ambassadors.

Can I recruit people from other congregations or denominations?

Yes, we encourage ecumenical and multicultural conversations, so we can learn from each other.

How many people do I need to host a conversation?

You are asked to host at least five conversations between 12-20 individuals per conversation. Contact your Program Manager if you have additional questions.

Still have questions? Please contact Jerad Morey, Programs Director, at 612-230-3211 or
