Taking Heart Registration 2017

As our Muslim neighbors prepare for the sacred month of Ramadan this summer, the Minnesota Council of Churches, in partnership with the Muslim American Society of Minnesota (MAS-MN), is excited to announce a series of open houses Iftars at area mosques. This annual program is called Taking Heart.

Taking Heart was started in 2005 to bring Christians and Muslims together to get to know each other over a meal and conversation. It is designed for regular people of different faiths to interact with each other. It is NOT an academic discussion or a theological debate--just people talking over a meal at Iftar time.

Any person or group of persons who wants to meet Muslims for the first time or visit an Islamic Center can simply register for their desired date and location. There is no charge, as mosques generously offer their hospitality.

Please complete the form below to tell us you're coming. (Since a meal is involved, registration is necessary to attend.)
